Support Group for Dementia
Caregivers
Being a caregiver for a
dementia patient is difficult both emotionally and physically.
Caregivers experience a wide range of feelings, but have few
opportunities to express conflicting emotions. Support
groups can be helpful in dealing with the stress of caring
for a loved one with dementia.
We conduct a support group for
caregivers of people with dementia. The purpose is to share common experience and feelings with
others in similar circumstances.
Support groups are lead by an experienced geriatric
social worker. Attendance is limited to 10 participants. You
are welcome to participate in one or all sessions. There is no charge to participate and
a light snack will be
served.
The sessions are on Thursdays
from 10:00-11:30 AM
Sessions will be held at our office 3224 Grand Concourse,
#BA
